MANAGER Wouter COPPIETERS wouter.coppieters@ uliege.be GIGA-GENOMICS SOME PRACTICAL IMPLEMENTATIONS DIAGENODE The GIGA Genomics platform has established a close collaboration with Diagenode. Diagenode, located in the Sart-Tilman science park, is a biotech company with two main areas of activity: epigenetics and molecular diagnostics. Pratically speaking, this biotech company uses the services of the Genomics platform for next generation sequencing (NGS), in particular for methylome analysis, and also collaborates on DNA chip analyses («EPIC array») as well as bioinformatics analyses of the data generated. Didier Allaer, CEO of Diagenode, emphasizes the expertise and knowledge of the platform’s personnel as well as the possibility for industry to access cutting-edge technologies and exceptional and expensive equipment.
