Collab 2 CERHUM In collaboration with the company Cerhum, we are developing a new resin embedding technique that will allow the histological analysis of bone tissues and in particular of implants printed in 3D by Cerhum without decalcification of the tissues. This new technique will allow a good histological analysis with a greater resolution and will allow to see the interactions between the tissues and the implant and in particular the vascularization of this one. NEW EQUIPMENT Thanks to the acquisition of a new «non-conventional» microtome during the first half of 2021, the Immunohistology platform will be able to continue the development of paraffin hard tissue sections and further improve their high quality. The acquisition of this «non-conventional» microtome fitted with an adapter for «tungsten carbide» blades will enable the platform to obtain sections made specifically on non-decalcified hard tissue (bone tissue, cartilage, implants, ) In this context, the platform develops Historesin embeding and the cutting of these non-decalcified samples.
