Eccrine sweat is a biofluid that can be collected in a non-invasive and standardized way and has the potential to become a relevant matrix of protein biomarkers for prognosis, diagnosis and clinical follow-up. Thanks to the expertise of the GIGA-Proteomics platform managers and MSLab researchers, an optimized shotgun proteomics method allowed identifying and quantifying 1071 proteins at an individual level by a label-free approach, establishing reference eccrine sweat proteome annotations and individual quantitative proteome profiles.
