On Monday 17/03/25, we have the privilege to welcome Pr. Thales Papagiannakopoulos, Associate Professor at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine, New York, USA.

 

Pr. Papagiannakopoulos is a leading expert in the field of cancer metabolism and genetic mouse models. 

 

Following a successful postdoc in the lab of Tyler Jacks, he established his group in New York where he and his team focus on characterizing the molecular mechanisms of immune evasion and  identifying metabolic vulnerabilities to improve anticancer therapies. 

 

His recent track record includes landmark publications in high-profile journals such as Cell, Nature Medicine, Cell Metabolism and Science Advances.

 

Pr. Papagiannakopoulos will give a talk entitled "Mechanisms of disease progression in lung cancer" at 11 am in the Leon Fredericq auditorium.
