On Thursday the 5^th of June, we will welcome Dr. Luca Gasparoli, scientific editor at Cell Reports. Dr. Gasparoli will give a talk at 2 pm in the Leon Fredericq auditorium in which he will discuss the editorial process and the initiatives recently implemented at Cell Press. He will also share his personal experience as an editor and provide tips on manuscript formatting and preparation. Following his talk (~20 mins) Dr. Gasparoli will also be available for a Q&A session, so we would encourage students and early-career researchers that are interested in a career in editing (or that are just curious to see what exists outside of the GIGA) to attend and interact with him.

 

For senior researchers who would like to discuss their research directly with Dr. Gasparoli, we have organised 6 slots of 30 mins during the day (11AM to 12PM; 3PM to 5PM). Please don't hesitate to contact me in case you are interested (so that we can work on a definitive program).
