Nicolas Fazilleau is a leading cellular and molecular immunologist, with more than 25 years of experience in internationally renowned academic research environments. He was trained at the Pasteur Institute in Paris and held research positions at The Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla (USA) and major research centers in Toulouse, building a strong expertise in the biology of T and B lymphocytes. Widely recognized as a pioneer in the field of follicular helper and regulatory T cells (Tfh/Tfr), his work has significantly advanced the understanding of adaptive immune responses.
Dr. Fazilleau has developed innovative immunological tools to track antigen-specific immune responses in both physiological and autoimmune settings and has successfully coordinated several highly competitive research grants. He currently serves as Director of the Toulouse Institute for Infectious and Inflammatory Diseases (Infinity) and as Research Director at Inserm. His research programs focus on the regulation of humoral immunity, vaccine development, and immune mechanisms involved in autoimmunity and cancer, bridging fundamental discoveries with translational impact.
