Biography

I am a researcher in biochemistry and I am the head of the laboratory of molecular biomimetic and protein engineering (MBPEL), based within GIGA in the University of Liège. My role as a researcher and laboratory director is to develop applied research aimed at meeting industrial needs using natural proteins or engineered peptides. The goal is to develop sustainable, efficient and economically viable solutions. The biomimetic approach used in the laboratory makes it possible to identify the best molecules (proteins / peptides) responding to a targeted application.

I am therefore specialized in the production / purification and characterization of proteins and also in the use of phage display.

In parallel with my research, I am a specialist volunteer within the CBRN (Chemistry, Biology, Radiation, Nuclear) cluster of Crisnée civil protection. This function also allows me to continue to develop my skills but above all to be an aid to society.

I am always looking for improvement and I therefore participate in many training courses to develop my managerial, personal and professional skills.
