Francesca Rapino, prizewinner of the "Foundation against cancer"

Francesca Rapino won a postdoctoral mandate 2019 en recherche fundamental of the "foundation against cancer" to support her in the realization of a fundamental research project in cancerology. The project will be carried out in the laboratory of Dr. Pierre Close (Lab of Cancer Signaling) and aims to study the role of the enzymes that modify tRNA in the antitumor response mediated by the immune system. Understanding and stimulating the immune response to tumors is vital for the production of new and more effective treatments. Therefore, this project will shed light on the basic mechanisms which regulate the immune system recognition and suppression of the tumors.
