«We used the Immunohistology platform
specially for optimizing an histological
process without any solvant. Responsi-
veness, expertise and excellent services
ofered by the platform Immunohisto-
logy allowed iSTAR Medical deepen the
knowledge of its medical devices. Medi-
cal iSTAR like to continue working with
the platform in 2013.»

«The GIGA Genotranscriptomics plat-
form did a great job in providing the
most advanced technology and strong
expertise in next generation sequencing
(NGS). From sample QC and library pre-
paration to the delivery of NGS data,
the platform actively participated in
transcriptome “discovery” and the iden-
tifcation by our team of a novel class of
small RNAs in retrovirus-induced tumors.
Input, attention and expertise of the
staf were critical in meeting our needs
in the limited amount of time to achieve
our goals. It was a wise choice!»

«Within our research on the mitochondrial DNA bottleneck, we wanted to focus on a specifc cell type,
the primordial germ cell (pgc) in the zebrafsh. By injecting zebrafsh with pgc-specifc RNA (GFP-labeled),
we were able to visualize this cell type as a clear cell population near the yolk sac. Together with the
GIGA Flow Cytometry platform, we developed protocols to isolate these cells using FACS sorting. The
GIGA Flow Cytometry facility supported us in experimental design protocol optimization and, of course,
FACS cell sorting. We are very satisfed with the experience and support of GIGA. It really helped us to
isolate these pgc’s with high purity and quality to perform our downstream analyses.»

«For all our projects, we are intensive users of the GIGA-Imaging platform. The skills and availability of
their collaborators, together with the high quality of the equipment allow us to beneft of high end image
acquisition and analysis techniques. It allows us to study extra fne cellular structures such as p-bodies
or perform confocal real-time observation of developmental processes on whole organisms, such as the
development of blood vessels and establishement of the circulatory system or myocytes fusion in the
Zebrafsh».
