35 Coraline Radermecker, winner of the ACTERIA 2022 prize (European Federation of Immunological Societies) Coraline Radermecker (Laboratory of Immunophysiology – GIGA-I3) received this prize, rewarding young European talents in immunology and allergology, for her work on the role of neutrophils and «neutrophil extracellular traps» in allergic asthma onset and in lung homeostasis. Alice Collignon, international finalist of My Thesis in 180 seconds Alice Collignon (LBTD - GIGA Cancer), Belgian finalist of the contest, was in the final of My Thesis in 180 seconds in Montreal with her presentation «We are champions, yes, but ...» on targeting the HER pathway in breast cancer. Gilles Vandwalle, Christina Schmidt, Grégory Hammad and Ira Espuny Camacho awarded by the Alzheimer Research Foundation Gilles Vandewalle, Christina Schmidt, Grégory Hammad et Ira Espuny Camacho are laureates from the Alzheimer Foundation and received almost €1 million for their research on Alzheimer’s disease for their respective projects. Audrey Vanhaudenhuyse, winner of the AstraZeneca 2022 Award Audrey Vanhaudenhuyse ( Research Group on Sensation and Perception - GIGA-Consiousness) is one of the three laureates of the AstraZeneca Award for her work on non-ordinary states of consciousness. Her goal is to indicate to doctors in which situation and for which patients hypnosis or other techniques bring the most benefits.
