As a researcher of the FNRS & Associated Funds (F.R.S.-FNRS), I currently lead a team within the Sleep & Chronobiology group of the GIGA-CRC Human Imaging research unit at the University of Liège. Our group's primary research interests are consistent in exploring the association between sleep-wake cycle regulation, human cognitive functioning and its brain correlates, with a particular focus on the aging process and associated neurodegenerative processes. We also aim to explore the brain correlates underlying emotion regulation in insomnia and the latter's impact on CBT-I treatment. To address these themes, a series of techniques (neuroimaging, electrophysiology, cognitive paradigms, bio-mathematical modeling) are available at the GIGA-in Vivo Imaging Platform or through collaborations (e.g. PsyNCog, Usydney). The team's research projects are subsidized by a range of funding bodies, including the National Fund for Scientific Research of Belgium (F.R.S.-FNRS), the European Research Council (ERC), the research funds of the University of Liège or the Alzheimer Research Foundation (SAO-FRA).
